Quick, confident and relaxed Hypnobirthing

Birth-Stories-Circle-1

I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful Hypnobirthing Hub course. I had a beautiful, amazing birth experience. It gave me much more confidence in myself and as a mother!I was so relaxed and calm I has no idea how far along I was and gave birth 27 mins after arriving at hospital with absolutely no intervention of any kind, not even a VE! It was pure and perfect. Thank you from me and my very happy baby.

Easy quick and pain free natural twin birth

Two laughing hypnobabies in a circle

“Thanks so much for all the Hypnobirthing Hub information and your own twin birth was a total inspiration! The birth of our twin girls was so easy and completely natural! We arrived at the hospital 7cm dilated, midwives couldn’t believe it. I so comfortable I could even walk in. The birth was a magical experience and really transforming as a person, knowing that you can do it on your own and even with twins! It’s an eye popping thought. Thanks again!”

Long but easy and comfortable natural Hypnobirth

Birth-Stories-Circle-3

'My mother had such great natural birth's in her village, all seven of them. Sadly, she isn't around to help me through the birth and explain how she had such easy births. I have moved to the city now with a modern life and lost touch with the natural and simple methods of birth that are still used today.  Thank you for your Hypnobirthing Hub Home Study Course that helped me understand birthing is a natural and it is meant to be easy and comfortable. I did have a long birth, but it was still relatively comfortable and the tools, especially the surge breathing enabled me to continue on the path of natural birthing for the 25 hours of labor. I now Thank you’

Perfect pain free water Hypnobirth

Baby Nayla was born this morning just before 8am. She was 50cm long and 3.8kg in weight and all perfect in every way. The Surges started just after my membranes released at 3am. I was able to rest through surges while listening to your birth music. It wasn’t painful at all and actually I was quite a peace, until the surges was so close together we had to go to the birth centre. There I went from 6cm to having Nayla in my arms within 30 minutes. It was extremely quick but very easy. She made some noises but didn't cry at all, it was a perfect gentle birth as I pictured it would be. Thank you for giving me a confident birth.

I just wanted to say a big thank you! I did your course in 2011 with my partner Ross and had a wonderful, calm, drug free natural birth into water in Dec 2011. It was so amazing my daughter came to the crowning position and I didn't even realise she was there until that point! Totally serene and easy. Total active labour approx 4 hours.

I have just given birth to a son and also practiced a calm, natural Hypno and waterbirth here in Singapore. I used your original CDs and literature to prepare and again had a wonderful birth. Active labour less than two hours! I've had such a positive experience of birth and I couldn't be more grateful to you. It also means my daughter has a positive perspective on it too which is almost more important! Thanks again.

Hitting the gym soon after an easy Hypnobirth

Birth-Stories-Circle-15

"I have been meaning to email you to say a massive thank you. My husband and I did the course in Sydney and I gave birth three weeks ago.... my waters released on Sunday morning, we ended up staying at home relaxing until 6pm. We got to the hospital and midwives tried to offer pethidine and an epidural however strongly declined with Andrew's support.

The pressure got more intense by 2am but then quickly delivered a baby boy at 2.47am with no pain relief. I had no tears and no stitches were needed. After feeding the bub for almost an hour, I was able to jump in the shower with no assistance.

The following days were also amazing as I continually got offers for pain relief but really didn't need it. Midwives were always surprised when I declined pain relief during my stay. I am back at the gym already and am so thankful for Hypnobirthing eliminating all the fear I had. Next baby we will definitely do a refresher 🙂

Hypnobirthing dream birth after traumatic first birth

Birth-Stories-Circle-6

"After a really terrible experience with my daughter’s birth, I was determined to find a different way when I got pregnant this time. My biggest fear came for the old memories, which still gave me nightmares, at times. I felt sure that the same thing would happen again. When I did the Hypnobirthing Hub Home Course, there were two things which really stood out for me.

First was that I can now see why and when things started to go wrong the last time. If only I had known all of this the first time around. Second, the "Fear Release" exercise made so much difference; they were really powerful. I actually felt the bad memories leave my mind. It did feel a bit surreal. I was able to completely let go of them and they didn't come back, at all.

The nightmares also stopped. And with all the other techniques that I had learned, I spent the rest of my pregnancy looking forward to the birth and not dreading it. I think the key thing for me was being completely honest with myself about how I was really feeling about the birth, and not just pushing it all deep down. I know that if I buried it, it would just come back on the day.

I had a wonderful birth. Baby Asha was born peacefully and easily in the hospital after six hours of labour. None of the old fears came back and I was so pleased how calm, focused, and relaxed I was. I wish every woman around the world had access to these techniques. Thanks so much. I can't begin to thank you for the key role you played in our birth".

The baby came out easily with birth breathing and no pushing at all

Birth-Stories-Circle-7

“Hi Kathryn, Just wanted to say thanks again for such a great course. I had a perfect little baby boy on Tues 10th May 50cm, 3.365kg, after a very quick labour. Went to see midwife in the morning, and discussed my water birth plan and birth plan again. I had some signs labour was building with some more practice surges and the baby dropping with increased pressure.

Anyway, after the check I went from 1cm to 3cm and started some irregular practice surges varying from 20-10mins apart. At 1pm my waters broke, and I started having surges 2 minutes apart. I grabbed the iPod and started playing the hypnobirthing tracks, and told Dunc to drive me to the hospital since his dad was already at our place to look after Ollie. We got in the car, and I would tap on the dashboard to let Dunc know I was having another surge. Anyway, by the time we got to hospital I could feel the pressure of the baby and knew it was close.

I breathed through a surge in the lift, a surge at the delivery suite doors, and a surge at the nurses' station. Before going to the room our midwife had prepared with the bath and I stepped straight in. I almost immediately felt the urge to breathe the baby down. I didn't have the iPod in, but Dunc was behind me supporting me in the bath. Dunc and the midwife encouraged the birth breathing and letting my body bring him down. I breathed through maybe 3-4 surges, eating ice chips in between surges and Fin's head was born about 10 minutes after getting in the bath. This time I really breathed his head out, I didn't push. After his body was born, I caught him and brought him to my chest. We waited for the cord to stop before cutting it later and the placenta came away with little effort. Fin did a little grizzle but was so alert and interested in what was going on and so happy to have cuddles with mum and dad in the bath. Just magical!

I felt so in control and relaxed despite the quick time frame, and was so happy with the whole experience. Just amazing! Thanks again for all your help."

Wonderful easy and inspiring Hypnobirthing Hub birth

Birth-Stories-Circle-8

"After a day of mild twinges, I called the hospital to let them know I might be coming later to have my baby. Whilst chatting with the midwife, I had a few more twinges and she said I should come in.

After a phone call to my husband, he made a mad dash home, falling through the front door. He was panicking a bit and I was the calm one. So at the hospital, I was 4 cm, and the 'twinges' were real surges, but they just felt like nothing more than twinges.

However, every time I had a contraction, all I kept thinking about was how I was getting closer and closer to meeting my baby. I kept visualising my older daughter on the shore in my special place, which was a beautiful sandy island holding a baby, and with every surge, I would ride the crest of the wave. It was taking me closer and closer to the two of them.

My husband was amazing with the light touch massage and the prompts; I could actually feel the rush of endorphins through my body. It left me feeling spacey, but ultimately relaxed. The birth was WONDERFUL!! I loved every second of the experience. I made very little noise; I didn't need to, as I wasn't in pain at all. As soon as she was born, I said 'I want another one'; I didn't want to stop, I was enjoying it all so much!! I can't thank you enough. I have recommended your course to EVERY pregnant women I have met!"

Overcoming fear and anxiety with a perfect Hypnobirthing birth

Birth-Stories-Circle-9

"I very much wanted a great birth, but I felt such a constant struggle between what I really wanted and what I thought would have to happen. I had this belief deep down that no matter what I thought or did, I still would end up with the same result, a long and painful birth. My fate was sealed; I couldn't do anything about it.

There was this constant nagging in the back of my mind. Sometimes I felt it was a bit of a lost cause doing Hypnobirthing Home Study Course, as in the early days of study, I would read one of the Mother's thoughts and feel great about my birth and then start to think, I may actually be one of those women, who have fantastic births. Yet, it was like I had this gremlin, taking control of my mind again and tell me that my birth will be nothing like theirs; it will be just horrible and painful.

I continued with the course and I am so glad I did! It made all the difference, I worked on my self-talk and often it felt as if I was forcing myself to be positive, like a battle raging in my mind. Yet with all the self-talk tips and the help of the releasing fears CD, I won the war! Yeah!!

I was quite surprised how fast it took; within a week I felt I had completely changed my thought process. I went through a whole day and by the end of it, I realised that I didn't have any bad thoughts at all about birth; just a whole lot of good positive vibes flowing in. The best thing is, I was happier now than I have ever been.

I am so proud and happy to say, that I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl, Amelia on 6.03am on Sunday morning. The birth was just like my visualisation (the good ones). I can't wait to tell everyone about Hypnobirthing Home Study Course, it made my birth the best experience of my life. Thanks so much for your help. I know without the course, I would have let that gremlin win for sure".

Hypnobirthing works for unplanned Caesarean births

Birth-Stories-Circle-10

I just wanted to touch base to let you know that Geoff and I welcomed a little girl, Lily Grace Miller, into the world on Sunday 16 June 2013. Lily weighed 6lbs 11 oz and measured 49cm long. Geoff and I are both enjoying Lily and parenthood. It's a very interesting learning journey!

Regarding Lily's birth, it wasn't quite the natural birth we had in mind, but we had a great experience nevertheless. I had a natural onset of labour and it progressed really well (dilated 1cm every hour for half the labour). I was only having back pain, so the surge breathing wasn't as effective, but the relaxation breathing, music CD and the Hypnobirthing mindset really helped Geoff and I stay calm, focused an alert throughout the whole process. Lily was also very calm as her heart rate was so consistent throughout.

I only got half way through the labour when Lily dropped into the pelvis posterior. This unfortunately halted the progression of the labour and Lily got stuck so I ended up having an epidural and syntocin to try and turn her, but when that didn't work we ended up with a Caesarean section. All throughout I was very alert and calm and I really put that down to everything we learnt with you about Hypnobirthing. I see Hypnobirthing now more as a total mindset rather than just tools and techniques to manage labour. Geoff and I had a really great birth experience despite not having he natural birth we aimed for. I stayed in hospital for a while, which was great for learning about a newborn, and have been recovering very well as I didn't have much pain at all post c-section.

I could probably use a bit more Hypnobirthing now with the daily challenges of a newborn, but Geoff and I have been very calm parents, and Lily is also very calm and well-tempered. She has been a really healthy baby. I've attached a photo of Lily a few days old from the hospital.

Anyway, thank you for teaching us all about Hypnobirthing. We felt we went on an incredible journey throughout the pregnancy and now into parenthood. Kind regards,

Lauren, Geoff and Lily Miller, Australia

Hypnobirthing helps even when an Induction is medically needed

Birth-Stories-Circle-13

I listening to the Audio book version of your course, I found it great when I got frightened by birth, the cd helped me relax and not see birth as a big deal. Even towards the end I got great sleep listening to the book made me so relaxed and it made my birth partner fall asleep.

I was due my baby the 8th Feb, I had pregnancy diabetes and my maternity hospital had a policy of not going over a week. I chatted with my consultant and we agreed on going 10 days over. On the 18th Feb no signs at all with my lil man coming, he was too cosy.

I got a tampon process (prostaglandin) at around 9am, me and my partner walked up and down the stairs all around the grounds and finally started around 6pm.

I owed my friend and my partner doing the surge breathing and reminding me of the beach I was able to relax at the contractions and picture myself in a place I felt most relaxed in Greece on a beach.

But with inductions, I remembered the book said the contractions were artificially painful and they were! I asked for the epidural and felt ok about it, as I know this was not normal labour.

I was ready I could feel the contractions very slightly a nurse came in and said they weren't strong enough that I'd need a drip but I was adamant not to so, I worked with the contractions 5 mins apart the midwives were so great I did all my breathing and pushing perfect I didn't miss one push 40 mins later with a bit of help from suction my beautiful baby boy Jacob John arrived at 12.20pm

It wasn't my plan to birth like this, but your Hypnobirthing Hub book had me going in with an open mind. I wouldn't change any of my wonderful experience from pregnancy to birth.

Planned Hypnobirthing Hub Caesarean births are positive and empowering

Birth-Stories-Circle-11

"I decided to be pro-active and take control of my birthing experience. Accepting that I had to have a caesarean this time around didn't mean that I had to leave all the decisions in the hands of the doctors. I was actually going to make this happen!

Everyone had been briefed as to what was in my birth plan and how I was going to contribute. "Okay, are you ready, here come the head and the shoulders, now reach down." I reached down and linked my thumb and fingers around my baby's shoulders and lifted him onto my chest. The nurse had removed my hospital gown and my baby and I lay together (skin touching) for the first time. He was so soft and flexible and curled straight back into a little ball. As he lay on my chest, the warmth in my heart was unbelievable, everything seemed so surreal and wonderful!

For the woman that are now having caesarean births or other types of interventions without choice, it is important that they too know they can still take control of their situation and feel a part of 'bringing their baby into the world'.

Hypnobirthing works even if birthing turns out to be painful

Birth-Stories-Baby-Head

I wanted to share a picture of Violet as she is almost one years old now. I have been asked to write about my birth for Vogue and am up late writing tonight. I am sure to mention your contribution of Hypnobirthing Hub.

My birth was more painful than I thought and very fast but really joyous. I found my place of power and I was fearless even though I bled heavily and came close to having a surgical birth. At the eleventh hour two perfect pushes welcomed Violet into the world. I attribute my success to your Hypnobirthing course and letting go of masses of fear.

When things don’t go to plan, Hypnobirthing allows you to stay calm

Birth-Stories-Circle-14

"This is Michael, Maria's husband. We just wanted to update you on our family. First off, everything is fine. We went in for a thirty-four week follow up ultrasound and the baby was small for that time frame. Turns out "a bit small" meant below where 3% of baby's are at that time.

A follow up doctor's appt to interpret the results led to us going to the hospital for a "day stay" monitoring at 35 weeks. Our appointment was at 11:00 am Thursday morning. After another ultrasound and a flurry of doctor activity, Michael Enrique was born via C-section at 2:20pm on 26th July. He weighed in at 1.8 kilos and measured 42 cm.

I did want to thank you though for everything we covered. Using the B.R.A.I.N technique really made us feel as we had a "say" and a better understanding of what decisions were being (quickly) made. A C-section was the opposite of how we wanted to deliver, but our little miracle would not have survived being in mom's belly even just another hour and wasn't strong enough for a vaginal birth.

Also, practicing our relaxation breathing techniques in class turned out to be extremely helpful. It really did calm us while hearing the doctors examine the final ultrasound, while they administered the epidural and during the operation.
Mom is already home and baby will be in the nursery for at least another couple of weeks. Thanks again!"
